Here are a few final photos of a maintenance free screen porch project that we have completed in Henrico Va.

The new maintenance free screen porch measures 12′ x 16′ along with 2- 4′ x 6′ landings and 2 sets of stairs to the ground.

The new deck is constructed with 2 x 10 pressure treated band boards and beams, 2 x 8 floor joist and 5/4 decking.

Roof supports are pressure treated post with vinyl sleeves, beams are double 2 x 8 that will be wrapped with aluminum trim coil.

Rafters are 2 x 8′s spaced at 16″ on center and are doubled up on each side of the new skylight openings.

The roof is a matching 3 tab shingle manufactured by Certainteed and has 2 Velux glass deck mounted skylights.

Vinyl railings for this project are white and have aluminum stiffeners to meet local building codes.

All of the accent trim boards around this porch project are 100% PVC and will never rot.

Siding for the porch is a matching smooth beaded cement based product that looks like Masonite but has a 50 year warranty.

PVC trim boards look like and are milled like tradition wood mouldings and can be painted to any color you choose.

The porch panels are 4 track aluminum windows that are produced by Sunspace.

Sliding porch panels come in 7 different colors and 4 different glazing color options.

Here are a few photos of a screen porch conversion to a 3 season room is being trimmed for Sunspace panels.

We first removed all the screening and associated framing from the porch.

Then added new framing as needed to accommodate the new 3 season sliding panels.

All of the framing members are wrapped with PVC coated aluminum for a maintenance free porch.
