The top photo shows fireplace cavity insulated and ready for firebox.

2nd photo shows the firebox installed and the surrounding area completed in plywood for a solid substrate.

The 3rd photo shows the lathe installed with a vapor barrier and ready for stone to be adhered to the surrounding area.

Here are a few progress photos of a 1 story addition and screen porch that is being covered with vinyl siding.

The siding is manufactured by Revere building products and the style is a deep bead.

We removed the siding from the existing siding from the home and tied in siding on all areas that are attached to the new addition and porch.

The cornice work is a matching lanced vinyl soffit and PVC coated aluminum trim coil.

All necessary weather joints have been sealed with a 50 year caulking compound made by OSI.

Here are a few progress photos of access being created for a Florida room addition in Chesterfield Co.

The fireplace was removed and reinstalled in our new addition. Sheetrock was removed from center wall and existing electrical was relocated to adjacent walls. Temporary walls were installed to hold the 2nd floor while we installed the beam work to hold the upper floor and roof loads. New header have been installed for a wider opening and a fiberglass door french door. Insulation, sheetrock and trim moulding will be reinstalled.

Here are a few photos of a screen porch and addition that the framing and shingles have been completed.

Walls for the addition are framed with 2 x 4′s for walls, 2 x 8 headers for windows and doors and 1/2″ OSB sheathing for the exterior of the entire structure.

Rafters for the vaulted roof are 2 x 10′s to accommodate a higher R value for insulation in the ceiling.

The screen porch is framed with pressure treated materials and 6 x 6 vinyl post sleeves.

Porch ceiling is vaulted as well and will have open gables for interior lighting.

The porch will also have Sunspace sliding porch panels.

Shingles are a dimensional style and the color is Weatherwood.

Here are some progress photos of siding being installed on an 19′ x 24′ addition that we are working on in the Midlothian area.

We are using PVC trim for all cornice work and prefinished Hardi Plank 8″ smooth beaded siding of all sidewalls.

This addition consists of a 20′ x 22′ game room and a 14′ x 18′ screen porch.

Screen porch floor framing is ready for roof system

Treated sill plates were installed on the foundation bolts.

12″ TJI engineered I joist were used for the floor system and then cover with 3/4″ tongue and groove subfloor that was glued down

Wall framing was balloon framed with 2 x 4 framing @ 16″ on center

All exterior walls are covered in continuous OSB sheathing.

Screen porch has 6 x 6 treated post and 2 x 10 floor framing to accommodate spans of the floor joist.

Here is another photo of  our project in the Ashland area of Hanover Co.

Brick foundation is completed and ready for framing

This addition will be a 20′ x 22′ game room and the screen porch will be 14′ x 18′.

The foundation consists of 8″ base block followed by a 4″ block above grade with a brick veneer.

Triangle brick were used for the veneer with Roanoke type S mortar.

18″ galvanized anchor bolts are installed according to the Va statewide building code.

Treated sill plates will be installed on the foundation bolts.

Here are a few photos of a new project in the Ashland area of Hanover Co.

This addition will be a 20′ x 22′ game room and the screen porch will be 14′ x 18′.

The footings were dug to a depth of 18″ minimum and a 20″ width.

In the trench we will pour 3000 PSI ready mixed concrete.

The concrete for the footings are a minimum of an 8″ thickness.

Next we will install the foundation so check back soon.
