Here is a photo from the second stage of an exterior remodel in Powhatan Va.

We removed siding from around the windows in order to remove and install new construction style vinyl windows.

The windows that we installed are Blueprint from Alside building products and have Low-E coating, Argon gas filled and prairie style grids.

If planning a siding and window remodel at the same time you may consider a new construction windows.? New construction windows are more stringently constructed due to new Energy driven building codes mandated today by local, state and national guidelines.

Here are a few photos of the completed vinyl siding and aluminum cornice portion of this 14′ x 20′ bedroom addition.

The vinyl siding that we used is a matching Revere double 5 straight lap style in the color of white.

All of the exterior trim on this project is covered with maintenance free aluminum.

Here are a few photos of the vinyl siding that we have recently installed on a new 24′ x 24′ detached garage in the Highlands.

A vapor barrier was installed on the plywood sheathing before the siding.

The vinyl siding we used was a matching Alside Centennial beaded style.

All accsesory J-chanel trim was caulked to create a weather tight seam.

New 1 x 6 wood boards were placed on all rake and fascia areas. 

Then we installed vinyl vented soffit in the overhangs and wrapped with PVC aluminum trim coil.

Panel style cranberry vinyl shutters and 1/4 round tops were installed on the front of the garage.

You can see in the picture below that the shingle on the front of this gambrel roof as loose and unsightly.

We removed the gutter and all of the ashalpt shingles from the front of the home .

Area was inspected for any rotten wood and replaced as needed.

Here are a few photos of a vinyl siding renovation that we are working on in Chesterfield Co.

We first remove shutters and remove any rotten siding from the side walls of home.

Hardi-Plank restoration project in Chesterfield Co has started. We are installing  prefinished cement siding on the new addition as well as existing home. The prefinished color that we the customer choose was Monterey Taupe and the style is cedar mill. Cedar mill siding does not have a bead and has a wood grain texture. We will be posting even more photos so come back and see the progress.

This project was in the Woodlake subdivision in Chesterfield Co Virginia. We are installing Norandex http://www.norandex.com/ Shenandoah 6.5″ semi beaded vinyl siding with foam core backer on the entire home. Windows are an Atrium View Point vinyl replacement style that are eligible for the Federal Energy Tax Credit http://www.energy.gov/additionaltaxbreaks.htm of up to $1500.00. You have till December 31, 2010 to take advantage of the federal tax credit. Aluminum and vinyl  cornice work will be Beige in color. New panel style vinyl shutters by Mid America http://www.midamericacomponents.com/ in the color of black. The beige seamless gutters and downspouts also have Leafproof gutter gaurds for a maintenance free solution for the rain carrying system. Finally A new garage door and new tan vinyl railings completed the project for a virtually maintenance free exterior and more time for the other demands on life.

Tan vinyl railing being installed on front porch. Vinyl railings are one of the most sought after maintenance free products. Decorative wood ”Richmond ” railing look beautiful. However, the wood that the railings are made of are fir deteriorate if they are not back primed. Vinyl railings have the T-Rail design that people want with the product duration that today’s lifestyle demands.
