Our windows meet Energy star ratings and are custom made to field determined sizes. Vinyl replacement windows take approximately 10 days – 2 weeks to arrive from the manufacturer. Windows depending on manufacturer come in many color options and may have as much as 8 different types of grid options, dual locks, night latches, full or 1/2 screens. This particular project has a white vinyl all welded construction which means no mechanical fasteners are used to fasten the parts and pieces of the frames together. Windows have a 1/2 screen and contoured grids. We first confirm the window size and remove the existing window sashes. All rotten wood is replaced around the opening as needed to ensure no hidden cosmetic or structural damage. Now we install the new window using shims, screws, insulation and caulking. Custom formed aluminum trim is then applied to the exterior window casing for a clad exterior. Cladding can be done in a host of different colors. We then caulk both the inside and the outside of the new window and trimming. Call us for a free quote as windows range greatly in price and  features are pretty consistent.

Here are a few photos of the framing repair as well as the remaining shingles being removed for new shingles.

We installed new rafters, ridge beam and 1/2″ OSB plywood sheathing.

After removing the shingles from the home and disposing of in a job site dumpster.

We will be installing lifetime asphalt dimensional shingles on the entire home.

All rotten wood is replaced around the opening as needed to ensure no hidden cosmetic or structural damage and have solid surfaces for the new window and trim to be mounted (note the sill on the 1st photo in this post as it is completely gone). Now we install the new window using shims, screws, insulation and caulking. Custom formed aluminum trim is then applied to the exterior window casing for a clad exterior. Cladding can be done in a host of different colors. We then caulk both the inside and the outside of the new window and trimming. Here are some progress photos of siding being installed on an 19′ x 24′ addition that we are working on in the Midlothian area.

We are using PVC trim for all cornice work and prefinished Hardi Plank 8″ smooth beaded siding of all sidewalls.

Windows are installed on this 14′ x 17′ Florida room addition in Chesterfield Co.

The windows for this project are custom Blueprint vinyl new construction style.

All windows are made to our sizing specifications and have Low-E coating and Argon gas filled.

Caulking and window seal tape has been installed including head and sill flashing.

Below is a collage of photos from a recent window replacement project in Chesterfield C0.

We first prepped the opening on this palladium window by removing the existing interior trim and exterior brick mould.

Then we set up ladders on the interior and exterior to stabilize the window from both sides.

New poly flashing was installed around the opening and then caulked the opening and set the new window.

The new window was then fastened to the home as per the manufactures specifications.

We first remove shutters and remove any rotten siding from the side walls of home.

Tan vinyl railing being installed on front porch. Vinyl railings are one of the most sought after maintenance free products. Decorative wood ”Richmond ” railing look beautiful. However, the wood that the railings are made of are fir deteriorate if they are not back primed. Vinyl railings have the T-Rail design that people want with the product duration that today’s lifestyle demands.

This project is in the Woodlake subdivision in Chesterfield Co Virginia. We are installing Norandex http://www.norandex.com/ Shenandoah 6.5″ semi beaded vinyl siding with foam core backer on the entire home. Windows are an Atrium View Point vinyl replacement style that are eligible for the Federal Energy Tax Credit http://www.energy.gov/additionaltaxbreaks.htm of up to $1500.00. Aluminum and vinyl  cornice work will be Beige in color. New panel style vinyl shutters by Mid America http://www.midamericacomponents.com/ and seamless gutters with downspouts will complete the project for a virtually maintenance free exterior and more time for the other demands on life.
